Our team
Jenlia Maternal Services was set up in 1993 by a team of UK trained nurses – midwives who have extensive working experience both locally and abroad. The company aims to provide parents and parents- to -be with evidence based information to assist parents to make informed choices, support, and knowledge and acquire skills in early parenting. This is made available via ante natal classes, post natal home visits and parenting seminars and workshops.
Jennifer Hor trained in the UK as a Registered Nurse (1980) and Registered Midwife (1982). She has a Certificate in Training and Development from the Institute of Training and Development, UK. (1993)
In 2003, Jennifer received accreditation as a Primary Care (Level 3) Positive Parenting Programme Provider (Triple P) by the Parenting and Family Support Centre, University of Queensland, Australia.
She is a regular speaker at local parenting forums, and has been featured in TV shows. She has contributed articles for magazines, such as Mama Moden, Baiboo and Babybook. She was on the panel of advisor for Mother and Baby magazine before sitting on the panel of advisors for Babycentre.com.my
She has worked in the UK and Australia before returning to Malaysia. A Certified Preceptor, she worked as a Clinical Specialist in a leading private hospital in the Klang Valley before setting up Jenlia Maternal Services.
In 2006, together with Jocelyn and Ai Ling, she co-authored the book, Asian Parenting Today”
Jennifer HorRegistered Nurse
Jocelyn Oo qualified as a Registered Nurse (1978) and Registered Midwife (1980) in UK. She worked as a community midwife with the Midwife Team of Obstetrics, General Practitioners and Midwives in the Enfield Health District in England.
Jocelyn is also a certified Childbirth Educator and Qualified Parent Craft Educator and was involved in the planning and provision of Parent Craft Education in Enfield Health District.
A Certified Clinical Specialist, Jocelyn holds a certificate in” Teaching and Assessing Clinical Practice for Midwives” by the English National Board and has been involved in the training of Student Midwives, Obstetric Nurses and Medical Students.
Upon her return to Malaysia, she worked in a private hospital as a midwife before joining Jenlia Maternal Services.

Jocelyn Oo Registered Nurse
Ooi Phak Hong qualified as a Registered Nurse, UK (1976) and Registered Midwife, UK (1978). For many years, she worked with a multinational company (Johnson and Johnson) as Professional Marketing Manager, promoting and training nurses and parents in infant massage throughout Malaysia. She is an International Certified Trainer and Therapist (Infant Massage) from the acclaimed Touch Research Institute, Miami USA. She has been actively conducting seminars and workshops on Infant Massage since joining Jenlia Maternal Services.
Ooi Phak HongRegistered Nurse
Ho Ai Ling trained in the UK as a Registered Nurse (1976) and Registered Midwife (1978). She holds the English National Board Certificate in “Special and Intensive Care of the New-born”, a Certificate in Child Psychology, a Certificate in “Teaching and Assessing Clinical Practice for Midwives”.
Ai Ling worked as a Manager in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) in a London Teaching Hospital (Middlesex hospital) and was responsible for the Total Quality Management of the SCBU until her return to Malaysia in 1993. Upon her return to Malaysia, she worked as a nutritional advisor and product specialist as well as a research co-ordinator with an international Pharmaceutical Company (Schering Plough) before joining Jenlia Maternal Services. Besides coaching parents, she has been involved in parenting workshops and In 2006, she co-authored the book ‘Asian Parenting Today” .
